The new front deck is proving popular, as the photo shows – my brother Peter and Chino enjoying the early morning sun. It’s been great having Peter and his wife Doris here. We’re enjoying their company and also enjoying a few days off painting (there’s still quite a bit to be done).

Chino just loves sun-drenched sprawling on our new decks.

Shortly afterwards it got a bit hot and Peter retreated inside with his beloved Nexus 7 tablet:

The new room is starting to get a lived-in look. Still no full-size fridge but we’re surviving with bottles of drink stored with ice in a chilly-bin.

Later Peter, Liz and Doris braved the heat for a while:

This was Chino lounging in front of the outside part of the heat pump yesterday, behind the tangerine tree:

The temperature got up to 27C yesterday and may be higher today. It was nice to retreat inside to air cooled by the heatpump on reverse cycle.
