With apologies to Robert Burns.
Chino brought in a large mouse this afternoon. Liz caught it in a quart preserving jar and asked me to dispose of it. It looked in fine shape and I didn’t have the heart to execute it. So I sneaked along the street and let it out in a neighboring property that is empty and on the market. I hope it has enough sense not to come back our way.
It could have been a very small rat. It was cute anyway.
